Jacque wanted to bring his new basketball camp logo to life by painting it onto the outdoor half court where he hosts practices and training sessions. He reached out to see if I’d be able to make it happen, which was something I had never done before, but I was excited to take on the challenge. After doing some research and planning, I came up with a DIY stencil process using thin, durable plastic and worked with my dad, who runs a CNC shop, to cut the design into large stencil pieces that fit together like a puzzle. Once everything was ready, I used outdoor street paint to paint the final logo onto the court.

This project was such a fun and rewarding experience because it allowed me to see my work in a real environmental setting instead of only on a screen. It pushed me to think more hands-on, adapt throughout the process, and problem-solve in ways I normally wouldn’t with traditional design projects.
