Overview
Poppy Bakery is a growing bakery based in Milwaukee. The owner, Amy, requested help developing a strategy to better educate customers about the locally sourced ingredients used throughout the bakery’s products and how those ingredients are incorporated into each treat.

Goals / Challenges
Goal
Create cute merch that hints at Poppy Bakery partners, without being in-your-face.
Challenge
Nailing down what to include in each tier.
(Too many fun choices!)
Goal
Create a solution that didn't put more stress on Amy.
Challenge
Finding a low-cost way to physically mock up our pin for our presentation.
Outcome/reflection
Developing a solution for a client who gave our group full creative freedom was both exciting and challenging. Without many creative limitations, choosing a clear direction initially proved difficult, but the process encouraged deeper strategic and consumer-focused thinking. This project helped me grow as a designer working with small businesses and strengthened my ability to develop thoughtful, audience-driven design solutions. Presenting the final campaign to Amy and seeing her excitement — especially when we handed her the physical materials we designed — was incredibly rewarding. Overall, this experience strengthened my leadership and facilitation skills and built my confidence when presenting work to clients.
